The challenge this week on Gothic Arches is to use a patch work technique by kelly Rea Roberts.
I have just read kelly Rea Roberts book Taking flight and the technique is in there i hope i have got it right. yes i know i have used my fav image again LOL im so drawn to her.
you basically collage patterned paper patch work style onto the background of your work paint over the top and remove areas to reveal the pattern underneath. you can also add images and do the same to them as in the bird at the bottom.

Gothic Arches challenge Flowers
This weeks challenge on Gothic Arches is Flowers
This is what they said......"This weeks theme at Gothic Arches is “Flowers”…what do you think of? a bright spring day with tulips blooming? a summer field of sunflowers? autumns harvest of mum plants? whatever comes to your mind we would love to see it in the form of a gothic arch."
I really wanted to do something different today, i have lots of paints pencils and all sorts and never use them mainly because im .....Afraid... LOL. so i got some acrylic paint and bits of sponge and swiped and splodge the back ground. used various paper Artsy stamps and the flower image is from a fantasy cd (just love this flower) so printed and cut that out. the butterfly is from crafty individuals miniatures book, i cut the butterfly out and rolled the wings over my fingers so it has a 3d effect but it's stuck down as well. I quite like the background and will defiantly use my paints more

Gothic Arches challenge "Gold"
The challenge this week over on Gothic Arches was "Gold" create a Gothic Arch using gold
so here's my take on the challenge.
I used Basic grey paper for backing (no surprises there LOL) printed and cut a flapper image (don't ya just love those images) i added a different piece of paper at the top then added a piece of brown ribbon , inked round my image to add a bit of depth then added foam pads to the back and stuck it on my arch so she stands outs. i wrote the words worth her weight in GOLD on a strip of paper cut it into strips and inked the edges and stuck it on , added a GOLD key at the bottom and a GOLD plaque at the top which says Dream , then went round the edges of the Arch in GOLD krylon pen.
