Arty Girlz challenge #37 PAINT sponsored by layers of color

Over on Arty Girlz this week We have 'Paint' as the challenge theme, so go and grab your paintbrushes and have some fun!

This challenge is sponsored by Layers of Color who have offered this fabulous set of stamps for one of our participants to win

Julie and i were also lucky enough to be sent a set each to play with, Thank you Laura :-)

Laura is also our guest designer this week you can see what Laura created on Arty Girlz and also on Laura's blog HERE

Here's what i did

I stamped the flourish tree on a cream card blank randomly around the edges then stamped the Happy Birthday.

I used water colour paint to add a touch of colour in red and yellow to the flowers and also did a wash of green around the edge, then stamped the scalloped circle stamp on scrap card twice then used the water colour paint again to add a hint of red and yellow to the dots. I tied a sheer ribbon around the card and fixed the circles with foam pads for a raised effect.

For this card i stuck some pretty blue flowered scrap paper on a card blank.

Then i stamped the flower baby on baby blue textured card stock then i used white acrylic paint on a dry brush and swooped it around the edge of the card stock and highlighted areas of the stamped image with the white paint, i also swooped the paint around the patterned paper to. (picture not showing up the paint to well sorry)

I stamped the bottom plate on scraps of the baby blue card sock and cut it out and added raised dots of the white paint around the edge, Stamped NEW BABY at the bottom of the card and stuck the plate over the top.

I stamped the scalloped circle stamp 4 times on the scrap baby blue card cut them out and made slits in them and slid the card with the baby image on in to them added foam pads to the back of each circle and fixed it to the card. nice raised effect.

Lastly i added little prima Flowers and put dots of white paint in the centers.

That was long winded wernt it LOL
