I tied a sheer ribbon around the card and fixed the circles with foam pads for a raised effect.

For this card i stuck some pretty blue flowered scrap paper on a card blank.

Then i stamped the flower baby on baby blue textured card stock then i used white acrylic paint on a dry brush and swooped it around the edge of the card stock and highlighted areas of the stamped image with the white paint, i also swooped the paint around the patterned paper to. (picture not showing up the paint to well sorry)

I stamped the bottom plate on scraps of the baby blue card sock and cut it out and added raised dots of the white paint around the edge, Stamped NEW BABY at the bottom of the card and stuck the plate over the top.

I stamped the scalloped circle stamp 4 times on the scrap baby blue card cut them out and made slits in them and slid the card with the baby image on in to them added foam pads to the back of each circle and fixed it to the card. nice raised effect.

Lastly i added little prima Flowers and put dots of white paint in the centers.

I stamped another Maggie on some scrap card and water coloured her in (think i need practice at that LOL) cut her out and added foam pad to the back and stuck her over the image i already stamped. I added the little blue flowers also available from Sally's shop and drew the stems in. sponged another piece of card with the blue ink and stamped for my friend and added another flower.

Arty Girlz challenge #32 Open Theme sponsored by Trimcraft

This weeks challenge on Arty Girlz is is an OPEN THEME so you can create what ever you like,

This week Arty Girlz has been sponsored by who are launching a fantastic new web site on the 1st of May you can pre-register now for a chance of winning £1000 worth of craft vouchers so get yourselves over there. (click the banner)

This is the fab prize you can win this week over on Arty Girlz which Trimcraft have sponsored, 2 packs of 8x8 Laura Ashley papers Traditional and contemporary with 2 packs of matching ribbons and a set of 4 Traditional wood mounted stamps.

Julie & I were also lucky enough to receive the same as the prize to use in our examples for this week.

Here's what i did

Form the contemporary paper pack I covered a card blank with the mixed background paper, cut out 2 large circles from card stock and 2 from 2 different sheets of paper, slightly offset my card stock circles behind the Patterned Paper ones, and glued them together on the outer edge I used glitter glue to make dots and added some to the Patterned Paper in various places . Added the ribbon from the contemporary pack and a happy birthday rub on.
From the Traditional pack I used a sheet of the paper to cover my card blank then cut 6 large circles from 6 different sheets of paper to make my flower petals by fan folding the circles, and cutting the folded paper in half each half makes a petal so there's enough to make 2 flowers if you want.
Glued them together to make a flower. I stamped a large white brad with one of the stamps from the set in black and also a small circle that I cut from the scraps, cut out a leaf and stem from the scraps to make the stem for the flower then glued it all to my card, then used ribbon from the tradition pack and stuck it to my card in staggers and placed the small stamped circle on top.

I painted a paper mache plant pot white then in lilac I stamped the image on the bottom of the pot 3 times around the bottom then used parts of the flower stamp to randomly stamp around the top of the pot, inked around the edges and base. when the ink was dry I added a coat of crackle medium all over the pot for a cracked effect which isn't showing to well in the pic. In all honesty a paper mache plant pot is about as much use as a chocolate tea pot so i put my pens in it LOL.

Arty Girlz challenge #25 STARS

This week challenge over on Arty Girlz is STARS
we also have the very talented Emma as our Guest Designer

And there's more we also have a fantastic prize up for grabs which has been donated by Beverly from crop till you drop so pop on over to Arty Girlz and join in for a chance to win this fabby prize which is a card making kit. Julie and I were also lucky enough to be sent a kit each to play with and let me tell you there's loads and loads of papers embellies, Ribbons and also sorts in this kit. I have tons of papers and embellies left so no doubt you will all be seeing a lot more of this kit.
and probably more of me to as I HAVE NOW MOVED WOOHOO so once my craft stuff is unpacked i will be able to join in with some challenges and just make a mess as usual, LOL

so here's what i did with some of the kit

This was more of a play on the word Stars its a board canvas of Fred and Ginger they were true stars. The papers are from the kit i just love the music note paper so are the star brads. Fred and Ginger were from the net and cut out and mounted with 3D foam pads the twill ribbon with the musical notes on which is in the center if from the kit and i used my side kick from the words Shall we dance and the big metal question mark is from the kit as well just love that.

This card doesn't have any stars on it at all LOL i just liked it, it was in the instruction booklet that comes in the kit and its for the inside of a card but i liked it as an actual card so just thought i would throw this one in to the mix LOL everything is from the kit.

This set of ATC's were made using left over paper from the canvas and previous card and i stamped a flourish on the paper and the images are from a CD.

Everything for this card except the stamped "just for you" is from the kit including the card blanks which you get 10 of, I cut out 3 decreasing stars covered them in the paper and sanded them for a distressed look and also did that around the edges of the card. I stuck the stars to the card with 3d foam pads. I love this funky retro look paper but there is loads of different types of paper in the kit
